Why are Dom's Kitchen and Market employees quitting at high rate?
The Issue
- New grocery/market chain hopeful, Dom's Kitchen and Market, promotes a culture of inclusivity, while simultaneously mistreating and undervaluing employees and customers alike; mainly those of color, women, different religious or social groups, and those deemed "not to be the face of Dom's". With it's turn over rate way above average, people leave and report complaints in high numbers. Those complaints are often met with "investigations" that lead no where, round table events/meetings which lack the diversity representative of it's employees. Because of complaints, employees have since been subjected to blatant retaliation, wages withheld, discrimination, and pacification of employees while quietly orchestrating constructive termination of employment. Illinois, being an at will state, encroaches upon several civil rights afforded by the United States federal government, and it's time to bring attention to those unjust laws! It's time for Dom's to get a wake up call; their mode of operations needs to be reevaluated and the policies they have in place, need to be fairly implemented; for all employees and customers treated equally across the board.
