Before my dad started this petition, we felt alone in this fight. It felt like entering into war without an army. We have been deceived and betrayed for so many times I cannot even count, but our faith in Him never faltered. Indeed, He answered our prayers! Today, July 16, 2015, Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago directly responded to our petition by filing Senate Resolution No. 1431, condemning the illegal practice of medicine. She is calling for committee hearings on reports that non-professionals posing as doctors are putting public health at risk. She is also set to file a bill to deter and immediately stop such acts. Sen. Miriam said, “There must be a mechanism to preventively suspend the practice of alleged medical professionals pending questions of legality.
