Dogs and other pets are a part of the family, and are loved as such. A friend of mine was recently raided by Garland SWAT officers who brutally murdered his dog Boyd, (who was not aggressing towards or attacking the officers) as an intimidation tactic. The officers accused him of being a heroin and crystal meth dealer and manufacturer. All that was found was a VERY small amount of marijuana, as my friend is not a drug dealer.
Upon further research, the Garland Police Department has the highest dog mortality rate in the country. Their standard operating procedure seems to be to murder the family pet. This cannot stand.
