The offroad tire industry lacks certain sizes that could be the perfect middle ground for some people. With that being said a 38” tire for a 17” wheel with a width of 13.50 is the perfect middle ground between a 37” tire and a 40” tire. Right now Toyo Tires makes a 38” tire for an 18” wheel. The problem with that is the demand for that tire I believe is far less than for a tire of the same size but built around the platform of a 17” wheel. Most offroad trucks, prerunners, crawlers etc utilize 17” beadlocks wheels. Having a production 38” tire could be a game changer allowing people to step up from a 37” but not require the trimming and upgraded steering/gearbox’s to turn a 40” tire.
