If yes, add your name to this petition!

Currently, in Metro Vancouver, there are limited outdoor and indoor municipal facilities and very strong demand. There are an estimated 5,000 players in the City of Vancouver that don’t have access to the municipal options available and do not play at all when the bad weather arrives or can’t play in the evenings when they’re off work and it’s dark, seriously affecting their mental, physical health and overall well-being.

One solution is access to a dedicated indoor pickleball facilities that can cater to the demand, year-round. This is where IPOP steps in, driven by our belief in the power of collective action.  The Inclusive Place of Pickleball (IPOP) is a group of pickleball players committed to the growth and prosperity of pickleball in our city.  We are self-funded and believe that we pickleball players need a unique Canadian solution to a uniquely Canadian problem. Our mission is to bring the joy of this wonderful sport to even more players by establishing an inclusive, dedicated, indoor pickleball facility.

Our intention is to build a 16+ indoor court regional pickleball HUB with customized Court-master flex floors. Our business model provides a self-tiered, membership-driven, first-of-its-kind, Canadian pickleball centre.  Our courts will cater to new-to-pickleball players, and advanced players with camps, clinics, lessons, and tournaments.

If you think you would play in this type of facility, if you know someone who would want to play in this type of facility, if you want to see more courts in Vancouver to ease the pressure at existing courts, please sign this petition to let the Mayor and City Council know that the players in Vancouver want and need inclusive and affordable dedicated pickleball facilities in our municipality.

Thank you!

Chris and the IPOP team
