Keep Palm Beach International Airport Non-Partisan

We, the undersigned, strongly oppose the proposal to rename Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) as “Donald J. Trump International Airport.” PBI is a public facility that serves millions of travelers every year and belongs to all residents, businesses, and visitors, not to any political figure.

Naming the airport after a living and highly divisive politician risks alienating portions of our community and sending the wrong message to visitors. Public infrastructure, especially international gateways, should remain neutral, welcoming, and reflective of the community’s diversity.

We urge Florida lawmakers and Palm Beach County officials to reject this proposal and maintain the airport’s current name. Our focus should remain on improving travel safety, efficiency, and economic growth, not political symbolism.

Let’s ensure Palm Beach International Airport continues to be a source of pride for all, representing the beauty, hospitality, and unity of our county — free from partisanship.
