DMZ Is Not Working: We Demand Fixes or Player Compensation
We, the players of the DMZ mode in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, are publicly addressing Activision with a demand to either resolve the critical issues or compensate users for their losses.
At the moment, the DMZ mode has effectively become non-functional:
Servers are regularly attacked by cheaters.
Matches frequently crash and restart.
Gameplay has become impossible.
This problem is widespread and affects a large number of players globally.
Meanwhile, users:
Have purchased in-game content with real money (skins, weapons, bundles).
Have invested their time and resources.
Expected a stable and accessible service.
In fact, the paid digital product does not meet the declared quality standards and cannot be used as intended.
This petition also serves as a formal pre-litigation notice.
Under the Digital Content Directive and Consumer Rights Directive,
Digital content must be fit for purpose.
The service must correspond to the advertised quality.
In the event of a breach, the consumer has the right to a remedy or compensation.
Currently:
The service is being delivered improperly.
Access to paid features is effectively restricted.
Product support is insufficient.
Based on community discussions across Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 platforms such as Reddit, Discord, and X:
“Every second game ends in a crash — it just kicks you out.”
“Impossible to play, cheaters crash the servers and the match restarts.”
“I spent money on bundles, and now the mode is unplayable.”
“Servers crash more often than I can finish a mission.”
“These aren’t bugs anymore — the mode is completely broken.”
“The developers have clearly given up on DMZ.”
“You can’t play — either cheaters or a crash within 1–10–15 minutes.”
“I stopped playing, even though I used to play and spend money every day.”
Our demands
We demand that Activision:
Immediately eliminate the cheater and server crash issues, restoring the operability of the DMZ mode;
or
Officially acknowledge the inability to support the mode, cease sales of in-game content, and notify users;
and
Provide compensation to players who incurred financial losses.
If these demands are ignored within a reasonable timeframe, the community reserves the right to:
File collective complaints with regulatory authorities.
Initiate legal proceedings under consumer protection law.
Draw attention from industry media and gaming communities.
Why this matters
Today it’s DMZ. Tomorrow it could be any other product.
If this situation remains unaddressed:
Players will continue paying for non-functional products.
Developer responsibility will be effectively eliminated.
The digital services market will collapse into a zone with no accountability.
If you’ve encountered crashes, cheaters, and unplayable conditions — support this petition.
This is not just about a game.
It’s about money, time, and respect for users.
