Dixie State University needs improved accessibility along with information and resources for the disabled students and faculty. DSU has been making a lot of progress with their new buildings, however some of the older buildings on campus are no longer up to today's standards. Some of the problems we are facing is incorrect signage of where there is handicap access to buildings, ramps, and elevators. The maps around campus also don't show the location for any of these. The buttons for the doors are broken, missing, or blocked. Other resources are limited because the Disability Resource Center is understaffed and can only give help if you register with them. However, that help is limited and does not include any emergency services or rides. 

We want to help change that. We are getting together as students to try to show the university that we care about the resources available to the disabled and raise awareness for it as well. The main problem is funds; The university needs money to make these changes happen. To start we want to help make the problem get noticed so the president of the university makes the decision to distribute more of the university's funds into the Disability Resource Center.
