We do not have to wait for Congress. We request that the City and County of Napa evaluate their financial portfolios and divest from weapon manufacturers and from companies that sell guns, weapons and ammunition. As a compassionate community we believe that we must not profit from the manufacturing or selling of weapons and ammunition that bring death to our streets and misery to our homes. We also seek to have all pension plans for teacher, fire, police and government employees divested from weapon manufacturing. We want our investments to be ethically sound and morally responsible to our communities. Divest now!
