Many people walk this hilly road that has no sidewalks. It is a risk to pedestrian safety. A sidewalk along even one side of this road would not only make pedestrians and those awaiting one of our city busses feel safer, but would also open it up to others that refused to walk it due to the lack of a sidewalk. As a citizen that lives near this road, I have witnessed mothers pushing strollers at the bottom of 2 hills nearly get hit. Diuguid has multiple apartment complexes with many of those having younger teens and older children that could benefit from being able to use a sidewalk to get to another apartment to go visit a friend. These apartments also frequently are rented out to students at Murray State that could benefit from using these sidewalks to go to class if they wishes to do so to save on gas costs or just get the exercise. Sidewalks overall are a major benefit to pedestrian safety, and any road such as Diuguid should have one.
