Students and parents are uniting against the sudden offline classes that the DIT University’s latest notice is now recommending. Many of them have already worked hard and submitted several assignments as it is the middle of the semester now. On top of that, the number of COVID-19 cases is still steadily rising in the country. How can students be expected to come from far lands and sit for offline classes in these difficult circumstances?. It is just a matter of month after which summer break will be announced. Why students are forced to pay huge amounts for just a month when the semester end is approaching? How can we be ensured that the University will not shut down again if the cases rise in the region? Why has no formal/legal notification been circulated which states that the University must reopen under the Uttarakhand Government Directives? Offline should not be made compulsory for collecting money from students.
