The District School Board of Niagara has decided to make the rule of not allowing fans at OUTDOOR high school football games. The Ontario government has said that outdoor sports are fine and that fans are permitted. However someone at the DSBN decided on their own that fans shouldn't be allowed which has impacted 1000+ people including players, coaches, and families. The Toronto Blue Jays  and the Ontario Government are allowing up to 30,000 people into the Rogers Centre for their last homestretch and university football teams are allowed to fill their stands but the High school teams aren't allowed any....How is this fair? 

The reason why this matters to us so much is that the atmosphere is amazing to play in front of and we love to see everyone come out to support us. Another reason why playing in front of fans is important is because our ticket sales go directly back into the program, so if we have no fans, we have no money, if we have no money, we can't build our program, if we can't build our program, we won't have a program. This also builds up other programs such as the music department and the cheer team when everyone goes and performs before and during the game. Also another important reason is that scouts wont be able to go to our games. There are a handful of players from each team that have potential to go play next level, however those chances are being ruined by the fact that universities won't be able to look at players from DSBN teams.

    A way that we can resolve the social distancing aspect of this problem is that we have spectators bring lawn chair and sit around 3/4 of the field (excluding where the players benches are) and then have some people in the bleachers as well (socially distanced of course).
