Save Lynn Valley Trees. Say no to Lynn Valley parking lot expansion.

The Issue

The District of North Vancouver Council has approved the removal of more than 50 trees to expand the Lynn Valley parking lot.

Construction is scheduled to begin next month!

These trees welcome owls, bats, falcons among many other forest animal. They provide shade in the summer and noise buffer for neighbours.

It doesn’t make sense to cut down this many trees, as the reason people come to Lynn Valley is to be among the trees. What happens when more people want to drive and park there? Council can’t keep cutting down trees and paving away the forest.

There are other options, including opening up unused parking areas close by such as the Old Lillooet Road, fees for parking close to the bridge, or removing a few existing  spots to make the roundabout.

If you love the trees and nature of Lynn Valley and agree that there isn’t a need for a few more spots to park, then please sign the petition and let’s ask The District of North Vancouver Council to change its mind about this.
