Joy of the villagers, who didn't wait for the finishing touch to cross over the new make-shift bridge to there homeland is self explained. There only access to mainland was washed away on 16th June and after 18 days of being cutoff, now they can access the town for work, school and provision purchases.

Though not the safest bridge, any access is better than no access. The villagers are content and happy.

Thank you Change Team and Change Supporters for raising your voice for these villagers.

Thank you, Media reporters and media houses for highlighting the plight of these poor tribal villagers in national media.

Thank you, Kelu Master, MLA for your support and directions to officials concerned in dist administration and panchayat. Sir, we look forward to you, for full filling the promise of the new concrete bridge in place of the one washed away in July 2006.

Thank you, Dist. Collector Ajay Kumar, for directing your administration for immediate restoration of access.

Thank you, Madam Mayadevi, Panchayat President for initiating the construction of wooden bridge.

Not the last, but our  thanks goes to Murali, CPM Thirunelly Branch Secretary and his comarades  who actually did the entire ground work in difficult and dangerous terrain to restore the make-shift wooden bridge.
