#BringLatoyaHome Campaign Update:
Through a partnership with the Mann Law Group LLC, the devi co-op: Survivor Defense Project submitted a memo to Gwinnett County District Attorney Austin-Gatson on July 8th, 2022 regarding Latoya’s case, calling on her to write and send a Letter of Support for Latoya's release to the the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles. Although DA Austin-Gatson spoke with our attorney before we sent the memo and said she was receptive to supporting Latoya, she has yet to respond to our memo despite multiple reminders.
Latoya is currently being considered for release through the Georgia Parole Board. The #BringLatoyaHome campaign is submitting our Memo for Parole Reconsideration to the Georgia Parole Board within the next week. While we are hopeful and optimistic that the contents of this packet will persuade the Georgia Parole Board to release Latoya, we the public are urging DA Austin-Gatson to submit a Letter of Support. We are asking supporters of #BringLatoyaHome to join us in ramping up public pressure by sending an email to DA Austin-Gatson.
Email Zap Instructions:
Please email Gwinnett County DA Austin-Gatson and urge her to write a Letter of Support for Latoya’s release.
