On May 18 2017, my brother, Gary White jr, was involved in a motorcycle accident while riding home from work. The driver of the other vehicle (Dodge truck) rolled through a stop sign, struck Gary from his left side and pushed his motorcycle nearly 40 feet, before coming to a complete stop. Gary sustained severe brain injuries and was placed on life support. Unfortunately, Gary passed away from these injuries on May 24 2017. At this time, our family is being told that the driver, who was at fault, is facing a misdemeanor charge of failure to yield the right of way resulting in death. The maximum penalty for this charge is a $500 fine and the loss of the drivers license for up to one year. This is not justice for taking a life! We need your help in seeking justice for Gary and raising the penalties for taking someone's life while violating traffic laws. #BIKERLIVESMATTER #JUSTICE4GARY
