Dear neighbors,

Fire danger risk on Sunset Boulevard is real.  Multiple San Francisco neighborhoods have suffered through grass fires in both 2017 and 2018.  We do not want our neighborhood to be next.

While our passionate neighbors have made a valiant effort to maintain Sunset Blvd ourselves, now is the time for City Hall to do their part.  We implore you to sign this petition to request that City Hall irrigate the Sunset Boulevard plants.  This strategy has been proven effective on other San Francisco streets, such as Park Presidio and Geary Blvd.  Doing this will help prevent grass fires and save our 70 year old trees. 

OUR ASK:

• Irrigate Sunset Boulevard
• Fix and connect the sprinklers to recycled or well water
• Maintain Sunset Boulevard so fire danger risk is minimized
