The Supreme Court of the United States has become an autocratic shadow government instead of a third branch. 

They no longer balance legal precedent with contemporary convention, instead rejecting both for the expectations of their benefactor and ruin of justice.

Their lifetime appointment and lack of formal oversight has invited corruption and incompetence that abets controversy and daunts content.
