For  25 years the MDC has been collecting your tax dollars and spending them as they wish without any control or input from the tax payers in how these dollars are being spent. Right now the MDC is 60+ million dollars in promised future debt. And that number continues to grow everyday with very little to show for the tax payers investment.

Citizens have been asking for years for transparency and accountability about how the MDC spends you tax dollars, and have been met with threats, silence, and inaction. Dissolving the tax collecting entity has become tax payers only course of action to protect and ensure that our tax dollars are not being misrepresented and misused. 

Allowing the MDC to continue to operate is allowing the theft and misuse of your tax dollars. The debt it has already accumulated will take the city years to pay off. It is the price that will have to be paid. Same as a lot of things our city government has let get out of hands before or not taking action on.  DISSOLVE THE MIDLAND MDC
