Disqualify Trump under the 14th Amendment to the U.S. constitution
The Issue
The 14th Amendment to the Constitution states that “No person shall … hold any office, under the United States … who, having previously taken an oath … to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.” Mr. Donald Trump took that oath at his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2017.
To date Mr. Trump and his associates have been recorded and documented planning how to overturn a democratic election, pressuring state officers to 'find votes', presenting fraudulent documents as valid official documents, creating fake electors, pressuring his vice-president to act outside of his authority, threatened and maligned poll workers in the performance of their duty, and inciting mob action against elected representatives performing their duty. He has initiated dozens of lawsuits designed to reverse the last election results and return him to the presidency, but to date has yet to present a single supporting fact and has had 100% of his lawsuits either thrown out or denied.
The terms of the 14th amendment does not require conviction of a crime, only participation. Publicly available recordings and documents demonstrate his participation in the planning and execution of past and ongoing efforts to overturn the results of the election. His unending pursuit of the office of President of the United States can be summed up in a single sentence (direct quote); "If I don't win, then the election was rigged!". He doesn't want to serve America, he wants the Power.
Mr. Trump's oratorical skills are undisputed, but the factual basis for his claims remains invisible to this day. In order to preclude his potential return to high office it becomes necessary to invoke the terms of the 14th amendment to the Constitution and disqualify him from any and all elected positions in perpetuity.
Send a message to our state representatives and party leadership that Mr Trump should NOT be permitted to become a candidate for ANY elected office, at any time .... ever again.
