The competitive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Player named Shad (aka hrzntl) to be disqualified from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ Championship 2024 qualifiers and not given an invitation to compete at Nintendo LIVE Sydney.

Shad (aka hrzntl) ranked 1st place on Day 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ Championship 2024 qualifiers. Due to this placement, this player would receive an invitation to compete at the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe AU/NZ Championship hosted at the Nintendo LIVE event in Sydney on Saturday 31st August 2024.

However this player is known for their behaviour towards individuals within the Mario Kart community to the point of making some members feel uncomfortable. As a result of this behaviour, Shad has been banned from some competitive Mario Kart communities due to sexual misconduct.

Multiple members within the AU/NZ Mario Kart community has spoken up and feel it would be best for everyone and Nintendo if Shad is disqualified from the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: AU/NZ Championship 2024 qualifiers.

Also Shad competed in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe AU/NZ Championship 2023 and was caught breaking tournament rules on stage in front of a live audience at PAX AUS 2023 and other streaming platforms.

Players from other international Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship events has been disqualified from competing for similar reasons:

1 - sexual misconduct
2 - breaking tournament rules

Shad should not receive any special treatment and should be given the same punishment as others already received before him.
