Like many parents, I have young children who look up to the TV hosts they see on channels like Nickelodeon. I want them to have positive and inspiring role models to look to. However, Angela Aguilar, the proposed host of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2024 in Mexico, is not a suitable fit for this role due to her demonstrated lack of family values. Hosting such a program is a responsibility, and it demands someone who can positively influence our young audience. Therefore, to maintain child-friendly content and promote healthy examples, we urge Nickelodeon to reconsider their choice.

Over the years, Nickelodeon has provided a platform for several admirable hosts who have exhibited positive behavior and ethical standards both on and off-screen. This standard should be upheld. Award shows are watched by millions around the world and their reach extends far beyond the ceremony itself. Allowing someone who is currently popular due to reasons that contradict family values will set a wrong example and might mislead our children.

We are asking that Angela Aguilar be removed as host and replaced with someone who can be a true role model.
