The situation of the tribal community in Manipur is heavily alarming.
The torching of houses and private properties and mob violence in the villages caused a vast displacement of tribals. This left 6000 tribals stranded in paramilitary camps.

The 6000 tribals, consist of injured, starving and helpless men, women and children. Regardless of their situation, they are restricted from basic needs such as water, food and medicine. Women are left bleeding with no sanitary pads provided. Lack of such needs could lead to disease outbreak and increase the death toll.

This is a very tragic matter that calls for immediate intervention at the state government as well as the central government. The solution is to urge the central government, especially the Union Defense Minister and Union Home Minister to quickly deploy enough personnel to escort the tribals and other affected people out of Imphal and provide them with the necessary help required.
