The Avengers - UK name change

The Issue

Disney/Marvel have implied that citizens of the UK would not be able to tell the difference between our 1960's TV show 'The Avengers' and the marvel superhero film set for realease in May 2012 also titled 'The Avengers', therefore they have change the release name in the UK to Marvel 'Avengers Assemble'..

Clearly this large selfish corporation does not know its intended audience, as box office sales for all the Marvel studios films; Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk, Thor & Captain American: The First Avenger, were extremely high so everyone in the UK who has seen these films; and will be going to see 'The Avengers', by now knows who Marvels Avengers are.

There is no need to change the name in this fashion as it belittles UK citizens and questions their intelligence. I would like to start a petition to undo this name change.
