In 2003, Bioware released Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Since then, in the seventeen years following, it is still heralded as one of the greatest, if not THE greatest Star Wars game of all time, having won the Game of the Year award in 2003. The Star Wars and gaming community has been waiting on a remake or remaster of some type, only to have their wishes ignored entirely. Even the online community of Star Wars: The Old Republic, the online massively-multiplayer RPG released by EA a number of years ago, is still abuzz with hopes and wished to see the game that inspired the current online world recreated for current-gen and next-gen platforms. Things like this may seem small to many a workaday person, but everyone that has every had media of any type involved in their lives know how good works of art affect them. I.e. Great movie series, compelling and addicting TV shows, and even video games. With this petition, the hope is to garner enough interest and support to gather the attention of the executives at Disney, BioWare, Obsidian, or even EA and implore them to bring this to the development table, even if it is just for discussion. Should they see this, they should also note that along with delivering an amazing product also comes generous profits. A Remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic would be quite a good business decision as well.
