Dear Disney India,

We are the 90s kids speaking to you.

At the time when there was no cable tv, back in mid 90s, we used to watch Doordarshan (DD national and DD metro). There used to be antennaes on top of our houses which helped us receive these channels. In those days, India wasnt an emerging superpower as it is now. We used to play with our friends in the park and not on our iphones and ipads.

But we were very happy. One of the things that made us happy was the weekly telecast of duck tales and tale spin on Sunday at 9 am in the morning. We woke up in time on Sunday morning so we could have our bath & finish our breakfast - so that our mums allowed us to watch these shows. We made sure we finished our weekend homework on sat night itself, so our dads dont play the spoil sport. Some of us had to even fight with our grandparents (because Sri Krishna used to play at the same time on the only other channel). We did all this so we could have that 1 hour of amazing entertainment - yes, we loved these shows.

A lot many new cartoons came - even new channels came (cartoon network) but not 1 could come close to delivering the joyous feeling we felt while watching these shows.

So, here we are, in 2014, feeling all nostalgic and requesting you from the bottom of our hearts - please bring back these shows for us. It is a new time - life has become fast paced - but even now, when some of us go to youtube to watch these shows, we feel pure elation.
