Dismiss [Redacted] from [Redacted] Position as School District [Redacted]

Dismiss [Redacted] from [Redacted] Position as School District [Redacted]
The Issue
Bullying is a painful experience I have personally lived through in middle school. The torment was so immense that I contemplated ending everything. Thankfully, with a strong support system and therapy, I chose to stay and fight. I share my story to bring attention to a grave issue that is plaguing our schools today: bullying.
[Redacted] and her friends drove 13-year-old Aubreigh Wyatt to take her own life. Their actions have caused unimaginable pain to this beautiful girl's family and friends. What's hard to comprehend is that these children who enacted this horrific bullying were raised under the watch of [Redacted], the superintendent of our school district. [Redacted] inability to guide [Redacted] own [Redacted] towards a path of empathy, respect, and kindness rings alarm bells about his ability to effectively lead a district where bullying affects numerous individuals daily.
We must understand that the rate of suicide among young people has been increasing in recent years, with bullying being a leading cause. Studies suggest that bullied victims are 2-9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims (CDC, 2017). Given the tragic loss of Aubreigh Wyatt, it becomes clear there's a need for compassionate, understanding, and proactive leadership in our schools.
This petition calls for immediate action to dismiss [Redacted] from his position as school district superintendent, ensuring that leadership is in the hands of those who will actively work to prevent tragedies like Aubreigh Wyatt's. Please sign this appeal and raise your voice against bullying - for Aubreigh Wyatt, for me, and for all those who have suffered or are suffering because of bullying.
