Dismiss Gregg Berhalter as the USMNT Coach Immediately
The Issue
I am deeply concerned about the future of the US Men's National Team (USMNT) with Gregg Berhalter as its coach. As a lifelong football enthusiast and fervently passionate about the World Cup, I am keen on witnessing growth, development, and most importantly, winning strategies. However, under Berhalter's guidance, I fear we are going nowhere — with no sense of real direction for the team.
Unfortunately, with the much-anticipated World Cup just two years away, the USMNT was grouped out of Copa America on July 1st. We cannot afford to make mistakes and lose the exciting potential this team has. Berhalter, despite his commitment to the team for the last six years, has shown limitations and a lack of competence in establishing a winning dynamic within USMNT. His inconsistent tactics and questionable team selections have put our chances in global tournaments at risk. His current results fail to satisfy the aspirations of the many passionate supporters who dream of seeing our national team excel at the World Cup stage.
In addition, Berhalter admitted to committing a domestic violence to his then girl friend now his wife. Despite the investigation the USSF hired him back largely due to his brother, Jay Berhalter. In what world do you support anyone much less a coach who committed a domestic violence? What sponsors accept that?
We ask for a decision that takes the passion of countless football fans into account, balancing pragmatism with ambition to ensure a successful journey towards achieving our World Cup dreams. So, with earnest respect, we ask the United States Soccer Federation; please consider a new direction, and replace Gregg Berhalter as coach of the USMNT. Take a step that could change the landscape of American football and mend the hopes of millions of passionate fans.
We also ask the fans to boycott the main sponsors for the US Soccer until they recognize the severity of the situation.
Sign the petition to voice out our collective fervor for change and a desire to see the USMNT achieve new footballing heights! We need your signatures!
