Dr Keith Wolverson has been the talk of the British media recently after inappropriately requesting a Muslim woman remove her religious veil multiple time during an appointment without good reason. Prior to this the Dr in hand has had multiple serious allegations against him and has left inappropriate notes on patients files on many occasions.

Dr Wolverson, well let's call him Keith now because he doesn't deserve the respect of a DR. Keith has been suspended for 9 month which in my opinion is not sufficient. There have been multiple petitions to save his job some of which are borderline discriminatory to ethnic minorities and Muslims but I know 100% that a large proportion of the public would not want to see this man reinstated and would lose a lot of trust in the health care system and in the justice system. 

When this case was initially bought to light Keith made no suggestion of a communication barrier, however later into the case Keith changed his evidence and approach towards this grievance and tried to later claim that he asked her to remove her veil on multiple occasions because he couldn't understand the lady properly due to a strong Stoke accent which the tribunal disagreed on and claimed they could understand her perfectly. How ridiculous especially seeing as in the not to far past we had COVID and everyone was wearing face masks and face covering wasn't a issue then. Only recently when my wife went to the hospital she still had to wear a face covering so why is one okay but as soon as one becomes linked to Islam it becomes a issue. 

I tried to find a petition against this man and all I could find is petitions arguing to save his job, one even labelled "ban the burqa" which to me shows this man is supported by people who share the same discriminatory agendas as himself. This case has once again highlighted the ugly poison which still exists in this county, the racism, the discrimination and as a law abiding British Muslim I'm deeply disturbed by this. Not only that the man can do this but the fact that there are people who will still support this man and then spin it and try to attack the victim. 

Not only did this man breach this woman's rights to express her religion, he breached her rights as a woman by telling her to remove an item of clothing which she values dearly. I'm sure we all stand with women's right and say they can dress how they like and nobody has the right to force them to dress a certain way or take something off. 

This case is quite clear cut and anyone who isn't blinded by their own discriminatory views will see that this is bang out of order and it's against the British values that most of us hold dearly. All I can say is whether this petition get the response we want or not. We will stand by what's right and stand against what's wrong. So if this man is allowed to return to the position as a Dr just know that me and I'm sure many people will stand against this and we will not just stand against Keith but we will also stand against the health care system that allowed him back in and the justice system. 

Let's spread this far and wide and get our voices heard on this matter. This is not a Muslim issue or a ethnic issue. This is a human issue. If you stand against injustice sign, if you stand against discrimination sign, if you stand for women's rights sign, if you stand for the right to practice your religion sign. Let's unite as the human race and enjoin good and forbid evil. Thanks for the support in advance.

Lastly a message to the victim of this crime, you are not alone. We are here with you. Nobody as a victim should ever be made to feel guilty. I stand with you as my sister in humanity. We will not let this go, if we let this happen what will happen next. We need to stand our ground and peacefully voice our concern. We will win, if it's not in the petition, if it's not in the tribunal, good will always prosper against bad.
