Will it get built?
"On Wednesday, September 24, the Supreme Court (SC) has ordered property developer DMCI Homes to comment on a petition seeking to stop the construction of the controversial 46-storey Torre de Manila condominium, which the petitioners claimed to have 'desecrated' the vista of the Rizal Monument in Luneta," reports Leonard Postrado in Manila Bulletin.
The SC gave DMCI a period of 10 days to explain why the construction of their residential building project should continue.
Torre de Manila is located between Rizal Park and Adamson University and is within Manila City’s Institutional University.
After DMCI submits its statement, the report said that "the SC will then weigh the arguments of both the petitioners and respondents on whether it will order the suspension of the construction of condominium through a temporary restraining order (TRO)."
