I am writing to you today to ask for your help in having my violent attacker, Casey Jay Banks removed from being considered by the Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce for “Citizen of the Year”, in Discovery Bay, CA.

In the early morning of January 15, 2022 I became a victim of a violent assault at Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood, California. As mentioned above, one of my two attackers, Casey Jay Banks, is currently being considered for “Citizen of The Year” in the town where he lives, Discovery Bay, California.

The evening of 1/14/ 22 I was at a bowling alley where  and her significant other, Casey Jay Banks were also in attendance and where and Banks violently attacked and beat me. Mr. Banks had announced throughout the night and with each song he got up to sing, that he was “so f*cking drunk.” Mr. Banks was (without consent), seen groping both men and women in the establishment, so much that  saw, went up to Banks, and smacked his hand from butt of a young woman he was groping. Banks also decided to remove his clothing inside the establishment, and was attempting to remove the clothing of a man sitting at the same table as him. I had went over to  and politely asked her to ask Mr. Banks to put his clothing back on, as there were young children at the table next to me, about 20 feet from them. immediately got angry, yelled obscenities at me accusing me of being jealous, got out of her chair and attacked me, requiring others to get me to safety. At this point my friends and I decided to leave the establishment and went outside while others in my party grabbed our belongings. With just a few seconds of being outside  comes out and brutally attacks me. Shortly after being attacked and bested to the ground, Mr. Banks comes outside, gets  off of me, and punches me in the face because I had attempted to defend myself from . As a result, I have suffered sever injuries from the attack.

My vision is still not as it was prior to the attack, I suffered a fractured bone in my hand, and I am having residual effects that I am working and will continue to through. and Banks were cited for battery and my case has been referred to the California District Attorney’s Office for review. 

From what I understand, Mr. Banks Has a long history of drug and alcohol abuse. At the scene of the crime Mr. Banks advised Brentwood PD that he has been incarcerated in the state of Oregon. I understand Mr. Banks had worked on getting his life together for a time and has done volunteer projects around his community which has earned him favor and community members believing may be worthy of such a title as “Citizen of the Year”, but I assure you by his present and violent behavior, he is not. 

Word surrounding the attack has gotten out and Mr. Banks and  are doing their best to cover this up, discredit and silence me. The truth will come out and I am hoping you will take the evidence of Mr. Banks current behavior, history of behavior, and choose if Mr. Banks is an example you want your community members to look up to as well as resemble in attitudes and behavior. 

Please consider signing this petition to help our voices be heard, that Casey Banks is not the kind of person to look up to and give such a title.
