A couple years ago, Senior Prom Tickets were free. Last year, they were raised to $10 at a discount from other grades. This year, the school is not providing a discount for any seniors, pricing the tickets at $50. Many students who await their senior prom are now unable to go to their once-in-a-lifetime experience due to these raised prices.

It is understood that prom costs money, and that due to lack of fundraising, senior tickets cannot be as low as they were previously; however, the lack of specialty for a senior prom is causing a lot of disdain among Columbia County 12th graders. We request not free prom, but even a slight discount for the seniors who have waited years for their own special moment.
