Similar to the offensive cheer at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, the CUS FROSH chant perpetuates rape culture and is completely unacceptable. The chant creates an unsafe environment for students.

A safe environment is everyone's responsibility.

Under the University's Student Code of Conduct, conduct that "creates conditions that endanger the health, safety, property, or well-being of any person" is prohibited conduct and subject to disciplinary measures.

We call on the University to take action, seek out the CUS students who led the offensive chants and discipline them under the Student Code of Conduct.
