As someone who loves animals almost more than people, I can't handle it when I see them being hurt, especially for a few followers on social media. This is a problem that is not talked about or addressed in today's world. This problem is gruesome, painful, and deadly for the innocent creatures involved. 

I am a shy person so doing something like this is not in the norm for me. So why am I doing this? I was hanging out with my younger brother and boyfriend while we all ate our dinner. They were playing around on their phones while we ate, and my brother happend to be on Discard, an app I now despise. As he scrolled through one of the servers a video I'll never be able to forget came up. For the sake of yalls mental health, let's just say it involved a goldfish who was murdered in a very cruel way. When I saw the video I was in utter shock. And to make things worse my brother laughed at what the man said in the video. I was so disgusted. Then my boyfriend said "Oh remember that video with the chicks and..." that's when I started screaming. I yelled stop as loud as I could, put my head in my shirt and began bawling. 

I have a deep connection with birds as I raised them my entire life, so when that was said I entirely lost it. I began bawling and ran out the room. I even had to fight to keep my dinner down. No animal deserves that and no person deserves to experience what I experienced. Animal abuse needs to end, especially when it's made into a meme. This is a problem that affects every living breathing creature - human or animal - and it needs to end now.
