I feel as if workers who posses a CDL license should be allowed the consumption of cannabis in their free time, not on duty. Many of us have stressful jobs, I for one deliver food and deal with fatigue from the physical labor which continues at home. That being said, I feel as if CDL holders should be able to use recreational marijuana and have a test before we go on duty to show no toxicity in our system before hand. We are a huge industry and as marijuana has become more and more legal statewide, we lack a big ability to be able to relax and cure our problems that cannabis could assist in. With the widespread of COVID-19, our industry has sky rocketed in dependence, being labeled “essential” which puts even more stress on us as an industry.
