Residents of Gurugram, living day-by-day with repercussions of a broken civic infrastructure that has now turned into a threat to their lives. Lack of functional civic facilities has turned this Millenium city into a living hell. Every year, Gurugram faces flooding during monsoons, and innocent people lose their life by falling in open drains. Many cases were reported where people have died by getting electrocuted. 

Despite all these deaths, there is no one in the Civic Authorities who can be held accountable, and these inefficient, corrupt officers of Municipal Corporation are on free run.

Gurugram miseries are not only with respect to floods, but the residents of Gurugram also encounter health risks posed by inadequate sanitation facilities. As per The Times of India reports, the city produces more than 9,100 metric tonnes of waste every day, the majority of which ends up in landfills unsegregated, leading to severe pollution and related health concerns (Times of India, 2020). Secondly, clean, unpolluted water is a scarcity due to the poor status of plumbing lines. It is disheartening to see a city with over a million residents struggling for a basic necessity like water. 

Citizens have no obligations to pay taxes and salaries of these inefficient officers of Municipal Corporation of Gurugram and the only straightforward demand is the immediate disassembling of the Municipal Corporation and termination of the employees till Junior Engineer level. 

To give Gurugram functional civic infrastructure, the city Municipal to be given to first world countries like Singapore, Hongkong or even China, so that residents of Gurugram can get a proper functional civic infrastructure and a dignified life.
