I want to bring into your kind notice the dynamic flight fare policy followed by airlines in India and the plight of customers like me who are at the receiving end of this system.
So the thing is if one books a ticket around 40 to 50 days in advance one gets a very low fare. For example for Delhi to Mumbai, around 2800. But as we approach the journey date the price keeps on increasing like the sun rising in the east. In my own case I was barely able to book a ticket one day before the scheduled day of journey at Rs 13230 for the same Delhi to Mumbai route.
That's a whopping 4.725 times the lowest price.

This situation means that if somebody is in emergency, he has no other way but to get brutalized in the hands of this system.
He has to pay whatever this system demands and quietly acquiesce to its whims and fancies.
If this was not enough, when one clicks on book now one receives a surprise and I will quote "Oops! The price of this flight has suddenly increased. The difference is X amount. Please add the difference to the original amount to book the ticket".

Sir, my point is why can't the pricing be non dynamic?
Why can't the airlines pre-declare the rates with respect to the number of days before the scheduled departure we book the flights?
