Please fight the closure of the Auberge, Jerbourg ! 

For many decades this restaurant has served locals and tourists. It has a unique location in Jerbourg, with spectacular views of the other islands,  St Peter Port and beyond. 

The current owner, who lives next door, bought the property in September 2018 and within ca 3 months closed it down ! Now he has applied to Planning to change the use of the building from commercial to residential use and to develop the site into an upmarket individual residence on the basis that the restaurant / bar no longer enjoys exceptional views and is not viable. 

This establishment could, under the right management, be viable, an asset to the island's tourism industry and beneficial to the island's economy.
