The Issue
Everyone is Aware of the Hardships and turbulent times, Travel Industry is facing due to the epidemic COVID 19.
We the Travel agents do humbly request the airlines and the regulators of civil aviation in India to Direct airlines to refund monies and not credit vouchers for Travel Agent Booking.
We are hearing Credit shell/voucher being offered by airlines to the passengers, but we travel agents are more of a kind of travel providers where we get money months after travel/booking, In the above situation on 1 hand Airlines are not ready to refund money on the other customers are not ready to acknowledge the payments and also the refund is getting secured on passenger name this is the worst part,
Many people in the organizations would be leaving there companies after this breakdown for allied reasons and the credits would be in there names, neither the organizations will take the responsibility of such cases.
We call for A common rule and uniformity amongst airlines process, every airlines is comming with a new rule and terms, how many can we learn and follow, Customer is ready and helpless before OTA and all his arguments with small agents. And There should be a solution for credit issued tickets,
We are agents uniting our plea before the Hon'ble Office to support with our above request and save the travel faternity with there own working capital till other government remedies are made available.
