We, the undersigned, agree that the merge between the four Laval High Schools should not happen. Research shows that "Mega Schools" only produce negative results. We will no longer feel close to our teachers because the school will lose its' sense of community. Bullying will increase due to the simple fact that there will be over 550 students per grade in the same building.  Dropout rates will increase. Activities that would normally take place in our schools, will no longer be able to occur due to the fact that we are too many students per grade. The competition will be unhealthy; currently two buildings function with 4 school plays, 2 variety shows, 2 fashion shows, 4+ sports teams which will all have to be combined into one or two, which means; fewer student participation resulting in students being cut from something they would normally be able to participate in. These are only a fraction of the consequences of a "Mega School."
