We, Indian diaspora from Scotland, would like to request you to consider starting direct flight from Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh) to Mumbai. I am sure you all might be aware of the scale of Indian community located in Scotland for various reasons like profession, higher study, PIO/OCI. 

Reason to request direct Mumbai route is, 

1. As per the existing data/trend, many people fly on this route to/from regularly. Taking connecting flights from London becomes challenging considering rush, border control, security, age etc. Taking connecting flights from some EU countries/Ireland have additional visa requirements.
2. Considering the geographic location of Mumbai, travelling North/East/South of India will equalize the connection time, if required.
3. Depending on the flight load factor or other operational factors, flight frequency can be scaled up/down in the future.
4. Also, this flight can have quick stopover (without need of changing aircraft) in Midlands UK like Birmingham/Manchester, if at all required, considering business opportunity.
5. As per the latest news dated 14-Jan-2023, Emirates is resuming A380 operation to the Glasgow as a result of increased demand. This signifies the market demand and the need of direct link between Scotland and India.
