Dear President,

I am writing to respectfully request that Royal Air Maroc (RAM) considers launching a direct flight between Casablanca and Toronto. As a large community of compatriots living in Ontario, we believe that such a direct flight would greatly benefit not only our community, but also the airline and the economy of the Kingdom of Morocco. The direct flight would connect people traveling to Africa with a convenient stopover in Morocco, providing a boost to tourism and economic activity in our kingdom.

As Canada’s largest city and most-visited destination, Toronto serves as the front door to the entire country and is North America’s 4th largest city. Furthermore, it is Canada's most important economic engine and the second-ranked financial center in North America. Toronto is easily accessible with two international airports that serve over 180 global destinations in 55 countries. It is also less than 90 minutes away for over 100 million Americans. According to World Bank statistics, Toronto is bucking an international trend, as a higher concentration of Canadian residents have steadily chosen to live in the city over time, the opposite of what is happening in all G7 nations.

Currently, only a few African countries such as Egypt and Ethiopia have direct flights to Toronto, making it an opportunity for Morocco to take this step and be the hub for the connection between the largest city in Canada and Africa. Also, it will help to connect Africa to Ontario and western Canada.

We believe that this direct flight would be mutually beneficial for Morocco and Canada, and we hope that you will consider our request. Thank you for your time and consideration.
