Petizione per una DELEGAZIONE DIPLOMATICA INTERNAZIONALE AI NEGOZIATI TRA RUSSIA E UCRAINA.

SI’ AL DIALOGO, NO ALLE ARMI

Crediamo che la pace possa scaturire dal dialogo e non dalle armi.

L’Ucraina ha bisogno di una pace urgente, che interrompa le gravi sofferenze della popolazione ucraina e che consenta la ricostruzione di tutto ciò che in Ucraina la guerra di questi giorni sta distruggendo: abitazioni, ospedali, scuole, università, fabbriche, infrastrutture.

Il conflitto Russia-Ucraina non riguarda solo questi due paesi MA TUTTO IL GENERE UMANO: stiamo infatti assistendo ad una escalation pericolosa per l’intero pianeta. Dunque   tutto il mondo ha il diritto e il dovere di MEDIARE CON IL DIALOGO. Crediamo che, data la portata del conflitto in atto, i negoziati non debbano limitarsi alla sola presenza di Russia e Ucraina, che sono i contendenti diretti, ma richiedano anche la presenza di mediatori internazionali.

Per questo

chiediamo che i paesi di tutto il mondo promuovano in tempi brevi

una MISSIONE DIPLOMATICA INTERNAZIONALE SUPER PARTES   

che si ponga come MEDIATORE nel dialogo tra Russia e Ucraina,

PARTECIPANDO al tavolo dei negoziati insieme a   Russia e Ucraina.

Obiettivo di questo dialogo è arrivare a determinazioni che risultino accettabili sia da Russia sia da Ucraina, poiché ne garantiscano gli specifici interessi prioritari:

-          Per l’Ucraina è interesse prioritario poter rimanere uno stato indipendente con il diritto di libera scelta economica e politica, anche nei confronti dell’Europa;

-          Per la Russia è interesse prioritario che l’Ucraina si impegni a non entrare a far parte della Nato, fatto che porterebbe basi militari a ridosso dei confini russi.

A livello internazionale, la fisionomia dell’Ucraina potrebbe assomigliare a quella della Finlandia, paese indipendente ed aperto alla cooperazione con l’Occidente, ma anche impegnato ad evitare ostilità istituzionali verso la Russia.

Il quadro di insieme da cui questi obiettivi emergono tiene conto della specificità della relazione tra Russia ed Ucraina, legate nel loro passato da vicende storiche, da lingua, cultura e religione, ossia da elementi che le hanno spesso unificate in un’unica nazione. Ma al contempo l’Ucraina ha caratteristiche che la portano ad individuarsi come stato indipendente. Come auspicato da Henry Kissinger in un celebre articolo pubblicato nel 2014 sul Washington Post, l’Ucraina potrebbe essere, anziché l’avamposto della Nato o di Putin,  il ponte tra Oriente ed Occidente, dove le due diverse anime ucraine – quella filo-russa ad est (lingua russa e religione ortodossa) e quella filo-occidentale ad ovest (lingua ucraina e religione cattolica) - invece di cercare il dominio dell’una sull’altra,  imparino a cooperare e riconciliarsi.

Siamo semplici cittadini che credono nella necessità della pace e nella necessità del dialogo per raggiungere la pace. Per questo chiediamo SUBITO una MISSIONE DIPLOMATICA MONDIALE che si concretizzi in UN GRUPPO DI MEDIATORI INTERNAZIONALI PRESENTI AI NEGOZIATI TRA RUSSIA E UCRAINA  PER COSTRUIRE LA PACE:  cioè la fine della guerra in Ucraina  e la risoluzione delle problematiche che l’hanno generata.

Più siamo, più contiamo! FERMIAMO LA GUERRA, COSTRUIAMO LA PACE.

Petition for   INTERNATIONAL DELEGATES AT NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN RUSSIA E UCRAINA.

DIALOGUE NOT WEAPONS

We believe that peace may arise from dialogue and not from weapons.

Ukraine needs an urgent peace, which will stop the serious suffering of the Ukrainian population and allow the reconstruction in Ukraine of all that the war has been destroying since the end of February 2022: houses, hospitals, schools, universities, offices, factories, infrastructures.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict does not concern only these two countries BUT ALL HUMAN BEINGS: we are witnesses of an escalation dangerous for the entire planet. Therefore, the whole world has the right and the duty to MEDIATE THROUGH DIALOGUE. We believe that, given the scale of the ongoing conflict, the negotiations should not be limited to the presence of Russia and Ukraine, which are the direct contenders, but also require the presence of international mediators.

Because of this

we ask that countries around the world promote quickly

a SUPER PARTES INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMATIC MISSION

to act as a MEDIATOR in the dialogue between Russia and Ukraine,

PARTICIPATING in the negotiating table together with Russia and Ukraine.

The objective of this dialogue is to arrive at decisions that are acceptable to both Russia and Ukraine, since they guarantee their specific priority interests:

- For Ukraine it is a priority interest to be able to remain an independent state with the right of free economic and political choice, also concerning Europe.

- For Russia it is a priority interest that Ukraine undertakes not to join NATO, which would bring military bases close to the Russian borders.

At the international level, the profile of Ukraine could resemble that of Finland, an independent country open to cooperation with the West, but also committed to avoiding institutional hostilities towards Russia.

The overall picture from which these objectives emerge considers the specificity of the relationship between Russia and Ukraine, linked in their past by historical events, by language, culture, and religion, that is, by elements that have often unified them in a single nation. But at the same time the Ukraine has characteristics that lead to be an independent state.

As wished by Henry Kissinger in a famous article published in 2014 in the Washington Post, Ukraine could be, instead of the outpost of NATO or Putin, the bridge between East and West, where the two different Ukrainian souls - the pro-Russian one to the east (Russian language and Orthodox religion) and the pro-Western one to the west (Ukrainian language and Catholic religion) - instead of seeking domination of one over the other, let them learn to cooperate and reconcile.

We are ordinary citizens who believe in peace and in dialogue to achieve peace. For this we are asking IMMEDIATELY for an INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMATIC MISSION that takes the form of A GROUP OF WORLD MEDIATORS PRESENT TO THE NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN RUSSIA AND UKRAINE TO BUILD PEACE: the end of the war in Ukraine and the resolution of the problems that generated it.

The more we are, the more we count! STOP THE WAR, BUILD PEACE.
