South Kilburn’s regeneration is progressing but its degeneration is moving much faster.

Dear supporters, 

Today we met with the South Kilburn Trust to discuss the neglect affecting our neighbourhood. Conditions on Malvern Road are particularly bad, but we learned that many surrounding streets also lack regular cleaning and face persistent fly-tipping. While Brent Council boasts of its multi-million contract with Veolia, we are all still waiting to see sustained improvements.

We discussed using Dignity for Malvern Road as a template for campaigns on other streets, collaborating with community projects and organising joint litter picks. We also hope to reach out to Councillor Promise Knight, Cabinet Member for Cleaner Streets, Transport & Public Realm, to seek her support and amplify residents’ voices.

Nothing concrete was agreed, but one thing is clear: we must keep knocking on doors and making noise. Please reach out if you can think of ways to help!
