The refugee crisis is not over - 65.6 million people had been forcibly displaced by the end of 2016, and that number has only grown.  Every Campus A Refuge (ECAR) is an initiative which "calls on every college and university around the world to host one refugee family on their campus grounds and to assist them in resettlement."  

Justice Is Served (Center for Service, Spirituality, and Social Justice) is raising awareness for ECAR and bringing the possibility to light in 2018.  Dickinson College has many resources that are essential to assisting in a family's resettlement process, including housing options, a cafeteria and a welcoming community.

"At this time of incredible Islamophobia, xenophobia and racism, there is no better time for campuses to intervene directly in the discourse around refugees, immigrants and “others” so that they can shift it from fear to fact, from hatred to empathy, from ignorance to awareness."

Sign this petition to show our administration that we would like to follow in the footsteps of many other liberal arts colleges by using our resources to bring ECAR to Dickinson!
