Remove distinct characters from classes. Having specific "operators" or specialists with distinct backstory tied directly to their role is very hero shooter like and doesn't fit well in a Battlefield shooter. Or alternatively allow an option to have a base unnamed character in the specialist slot that can be customized. Many people already have said how much they do not like the specialist system as it takes too much from Siege, MW, and Overwatch. It also may sway players from picking a role if they do not like the character that is tied to it or if a player has a cool outfit for a specific specialist, they may avoid playing other roles because of cosmetic reasons and this may be widespread and dramatically decrease the diversity of roles chosen by players.
