We only have 366 signatures so far, and there are 46 days to go before the petition ends. We need you to help us spread the word: we’re convinced that there are potentially thousands of diaspora members who want the right to vote, but who just aren’t seeing the petition.

Are you able to share the petition with five people from your network today? Here’s a message you can use to share via messaging:

Mauritians of the diaspora, the government of Mauritius is currently inviting proposals for the reform of its electoral system. As part of this national dialogue, Bridge Moris, a Mauritian diaspora platform, respectfully expresses its support for the introduction of a legal and practical framework that would allow Mauritian citizens living abroad to participate in national elections. They have created a petition to to show, concretely, how many diaspora members care about the right to vote.

Sign here: change.org/diasporavote.

Can you please forward this message to at least 5 more diaspora members?

All our warmest,
Alex and Yashna
