Safe Crosswalk for Cleveland Middle School

I am a concerned parent of a Cleveland Middle School Child. A horrible accident occurred at Cleveland middle school on Thursday, March 22, 2018. A 12 year old Cleveland Middle School Student crossed the street after school hours and was struck by a car. As of 10:47 on Friday Morning, the parents of Cleveland Middle School Students have been informed that this young girl has passed away through an e-mail from the principal. This was a tragic accident and the parents and community of Cleveland Middle School want to make certain it never happens again.

I am calling for a light system that will stop all traffic for pedestrians on Louisiana Boulevard even after school hours so that all pedestrians can cross the busy road safely. There are often after school activities - from clubs to sports and fun events for the engagement of the families of Cleveland, and so a light signal that only operates during school hours is not enough.

Please sign the petition for support for a safer traffic and pedestrian solution for Cleveland Middle School Students.
