Ask Colorado's federal lawmakers to help us save Frida.
The Issue
Meet Frida.
She's a two year old tiger languishing in Mexico because the US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFW) has classified her as a "mutt."
According to this misguided USFW policy created thirty years ago, “mutts” like Frida are not allowed to be rescued by American Sanctuaries because they define her as “generic” since she is not purebred. But the fact is, there are very few purebred tigers in captivity since zoos, circuses and illegal breeders have been crossbreeding tigers for over a century.
At the Wild Animal Sanctuary we believe all tigers should be saved. And as the nation’s largest and oldest Sanctuary rooted in Colorado, we believe our elected officials in Washington should lead the change the USFW policy so we can rescue Frida.
