Petition updateDon't Cut Corners with our Children's Lives: Protect school crossing patrols and keep our children safe on the roadURGENT It may be all decided THIS Friday

Everyone, sorry for sending you another update but
I just got informed by our great local paper The Express and Echo that a decision may be reached at this Friday's cabinet meeting on the future of our school crossing patrols. They seem to be categorical that they do not want to fund our school patrols despite results from a consultation carried in January which showed an overwhelming majority of people wanted to keep the service as it is, funded by the Council because we trust our Council the most with our children's lives and we want to ensure there is a uniform provision for all schools, that no school is left with a lollipop because they can't afford it for example. This is not a service that should be provided by a third party. It's our children's lives - we trust our Council to protect them as it has done so well until now.
See the attached Express and Echo article for the most up to date information. Please please do share this petition today and tomorrow before this dreaded meeting takes place so we can show them how much we do care about this issue. Help me make it reach 1000 signatures by sharing it with your friends, school Facebook groups, Twitter, etc...
Many thanks and let's fight this until the end!
